American Nationals Standards Institute

ANSI stands for American National Standards Institute. It is a private, non-profit organization that oversees voluntary standards and conformity assessment activities in the United States. It was founded in 1918 to work in close collaboration with industry stakeholders and the US government to identify and develop safety standards.
